PERFECT YOUR PASSION

According to Merriam Webster passion is defined as a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept. This definition most likely describes areas of interests in you all. In my last blog, I talked about all that 2009 has brought me thus far. 2009 has also allocated me some time of reflection,I have this year as a year of growth and direction.

One of things God has granted me is direction on my passion. The importance of pursuing you passion is great. Looking back, at some of the individuals I have been inspired by, I was able to notice a similarity that they all possess...Passion. From Lauren Lake to Coach Dee to Michela, and Cherise.. they all devoted time in perfecting their passion. This in itself has taught me a lesson that I will never forget....Perfect your passion, make sure whatever you do, you do well. If these world changers I mentioned did what they are great at half-halfheartedly it would not have had the same impact on me as it does.

That indeed is true, there are so many people in this day and age that act out ignorance..
I see it happen on a consistent basis, ignorance is a mental disease that can lead to intellectual death if not treated.
It saddens me, because their is so much more out there for everybody.
There is so many opportunities to grasp...

I was sitting in room watching Project Runway, yesterday and for some strange reason I was thinking about life at that moment. I was just thinking about everything that concerns Life. What dawned on me is that life is like a roll clay, God has given everyone the nessesary tools needed to form the clay.

But each individual has the choice,and option form the clay in the way they would like, Although God supervises the whole process. You have the option to make life dull or exciting. The world is at your disposal, Everything that you think is far from possible is indeed actually possible. The question is how dedicated are you in forming, preparing, and postioning yourself?

The ball is in your court, go after your passions. Let's stop being backseat riders,as we witness others around us pursuing their true passions, and succeeding in the process. Let's stop envying our brothers and sisters' success, and learn to applaud them. They deserve it, we can actually learn from. There is NO NEED FOR HATE! Let's love,give and MAKE OUR LIFE GREAT!!

Moments of reflections

Hello World!!

Its been a while, I must say this summer has by far been one of the best yet.. I hope you all had a blessed summer as well.

Now that the summer is dwindling down, I would like to advise all of you to use this time, to evaluate and set up goals for yourselves, and the postion people have in your life. I say that because I STRONGLY believe, that everyone that is involved in your life, should bring positivity.

Take this time to postion your steps, it is important, because it will determine the outcome of your present and future future. Lastly Keep pushing and Keep striving for the best!!!

YOU ARE YOUR BEST CHEERLEADER!!!

Interesting title huh? I know, but the title is nothing short of the truth. A lot of times in life we meet people who are quick to tear us down rather than build us up. Sometimes those people can be as close as family, but nonetheless you can't depend on others to cheer you on! The organization I'm part of Raise the Bar Young Savvy has monthly powercalls (which are so informative).

The most recent powercall was held this past Monday, and the speaker was the Johnica Reed, she had alot of great tips and advice to share with us, but one that stuck out to be was when she said "we need to learn to become our greatest supporter". OH Man! That touched me.

Learning to support ourselves when no one else will is essential to our success. Because there will be times when No One else is with you, or everyone else has left you. YOU CANT allow that to be a reason why you fail.

First and Foremost because Jesus is routing you on in heaven, and all you need is him, and because in those are the times you have to push harder! Learn to motivate yourself, and to encourage yourself. Even if you have to go to your mirror and look at yourself everyday and speak into your future Go Ahead and do that!

But learn to Be your own Cheerleader!! It will pay off in the Long run!!! I mean come on..there is only one you and you are F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!!!!

IM CREATING

HEllo, guys its summertime for most people who are in college, which means cookouts,friends,fun,vacation etc. As you enjoy the festivities the summer brings, dont forget to st some goals for yourself. I AM DOING THE SAME.

I have broken it down in 3 compartments, which are my Short-Term, Long-Term, and Long-Long Term. Each compartment has alleast 5 goals written down. For each category I have set a timeline for myself, so when the timeline expires I will look back to check in the goals I set for that period of time is met or not.

The Ultimate Goal is to have completed those goals I have set for each category. Hopefully this is helpful to you!

TIP-CREATE YOUR Future... God has given you the tools to create something out of nothing.. Don't be afraid to take risks, and to dive deep..Go for your goals and aim higher

LOOKING PAST THE MULTITUDE

The more and more I live my life, the more and more I realize how easy it is to lose who you are in the midst. It was baffling to me how this continues to happen. Then it hits me about how the individuality of a person is priceless.

There will never be another you or me. From our thinking patterns, nose shape,hair texture, voice tone etc. There is not another person who has the same DNA. If that isnt priceless, I dont know what is. You CAN'T put a price on yourself because their will never be another you! When I recieved that revelation I was sooooo taken aback. But many times people fail to see their uniqueness and find themselves chasing others self-image. From the way they talk, to the books they read and the list goes on and on.

Now dont get me worng, there is no problem with being inspired with someone else's work and using that as a TEMPORARY Blueprint. But when you let another individual overlap who you are, that's when the problem begins.

God intended all of us to set the bar and break it(Berry Gordy). DONT let others define your individuality you define it. Thats something I can give credit to Michael Jackson for, he rose above the limit. He didnt let the world put his ideas,and his creativity in a box. He saw that there was more to life and he went with all he had to reach it. Let us take that and recognize and embrace our individuality and make the World a better place. Look past the world system and go and get yours...

WHY BE ORDINARY WHEN YOU CAN BE EXTRA-ORDINARY?

Why be Ordinary,when I can be EXTRA-Ordinary is one of the phrase I live by. It like saying why go for the Toyata, when you can have the Mercedes? Last week, The organization that I'm apart of "Raise the Bar Young Savvy" was graced with Lauren Lake, who is a RENASSAINCE WOMAN.. I mean she literally does it all, she's a licensed attorney, interior designer, relationship expert, and motivational speaker. She is such an inspiration, and her drive to accomplish what man thought was impossible is nothing less than amazing.One of her Famous quotes that stuck out to me is the title of this blog.

I mean many of times we strive to copy others accomplishments,style, and swagger etc. Why do I have to follow in the footsteps of someone else when God has intended me to create my own legacy? Don't get me wrong, its great to learn from people. The problem arises when you try to follow each and every footprint of someone else. In that respect, I CLASSIFY YOU as Ordinary. An ordinary person does ordinary things that have been created by others. An Extraordinary person learns from others but ultimately create their own path. That what Lauren Lake symbolized to me. A Person who isn't interested in living in the Norms of this society, but elevating beyond the Norms.

I mean, its soo possible to make it.. if you are willing to make your dreams a reality. You can't expect other to see your dream and desire if you yourselt dont understand your own potential and use it to your advantage. You are called to be EXTRAORDINARY! Your Called to STAND OUT! Your not like every ordinary person Your Unique! GOD has presented you with options in this world. Its up to you pick and choose one. Don't let the EXTRA, leave you! Become the best you can be and reinvent the intellect of this world! Yes You! Im talking to you Become EXTRAORDINARY....!!!

I RECENTLY HEARD SOME SADDENING NEWS...SOMEONE I WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT LAST FRIDAY... I WAS IN SHOCK BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IT WAS AN INSTANT THING THAT TOOK AWAY SOMEONE I KNEW FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME. OMARI CHAN WAS HIS NAME SOMEONE WHO WAS SO FULL OG LIFE AND ENERGY. HE LOVED TO MAKE THE WHOLE ROOM HAPPY...I REMEMBER IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHEN WWF WAS HOT..LOL... THE ROCK VERY POPULAR AMONGST THE YOUNG, HE HAD THIS SIGNATURE WHICH WAS HIS EYEBROWS THAT HE COULD RAISE.. OMARI WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD DO THAT AND I WAS SO BLOWN. I WANTED TO DO IT TOO =] . I FINALLY LEARNED, HIS EYEBROW RAISE MOTIVATED ME TO LEARN THAT. THAT WAS OMARI HE MOTIVATED PEOPLE TO BE HAPPY....HAPPY FILLED WITH JOY..MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE....MY PRAYERS GO TO HIS FAMILY AND HIS LOVED ONES YOU WILL BE MISSED..AND FOR THOSE OUT THERE I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU NOT TO TAKE ANYONE IN YOUR LIFE FORGRANTED......EVERYDAY IS A BLESSING,EVERYONE IS A BLESSING IN THEIR OWN WAY...

Yesterday Has Passed....ITS A NEW DAY

Out the old in with the new! Sometimes that statement can be eaiser said than done. Sometimes you feel the old is too painful to let go. You feel as if yesterday's mistakes and defeats has left you damaged. You can feel yesterday's chains suffocating you presently. You want freedom from the heart-wrenching challenges but you feel their is no way out! In your book their is no way that yesterday can be freed from your present life! There are many hinderances and obstacles you face today because of yesterday.... Your inner being wants to be freed! You want so badly in your soul to not be reminded of the pain, you want so bad in your soul to be truly happy..You want to so badly to feel peace in your very soul...But where to turn,ohh where do you turn? Who can redeem you from the hand of yesterday's past? Who, is capable of reviving the inner part of your being.. There is many people right now as I am typing feel the burdens of yesterday's past. You might look happy externally but internally you havent forgiven yourself of past mistakes and you havent let yesterday go. So you run to things or people you think can make you forget about Yesterday's pass. IF THIS IS YOU RIGHT NOW I WANT TO LET YOU Know that there is a reason why Yesterday is not qualified to be today as Today is not qualified to be tommorow. Yesterday has passed, if you are still regretful of the mistakes, or stituations that you faced yesterday let it go! As easy as that and Let God!! The longer you plague yourself with your past the harder it will be to accomplish your dreams and and aspirations...God wants more for you than that!!!! in Jeremiah 29:11 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." God has great plans for yo u..He doesnt want your past to cage you up but he wants your past to reshape and redefine you. Yesterday has passed, its meant to shape you dont let it undermine the person God wants you to be. You can let it go...inhale and exhale ...FOR ITS A NEW DAY.....

SET THE STANDARD!!!

Have you ever heard the saying "The world is at your feet"? This saying in its entireity is true. The world is ready for you to knock at its doorsteps with your dreams. You can be the next big thing ,whether if its an idea or a buisness that you are aspiring to start. Go for it, You CAN DO IT. You can set the standard for the new level this world is entering!!!! Your dreams are aspirations that can bring transformation if you strive to make it reality!!! Its 2009,Last year we saw history in the making when the first ever African-American President Barack Hussein Obama was elected!!! That just goes to tell you that the standard is always being pushed higher!! Its time for you to set it even higher!!! SET IT OFF!!! The world awaits you future teachers,preachers,politcal leaders,actors,singers,philospohers,accountants,film directors etc...!! The World is awaiting...Set the Standard..It doesnt matter where you started off but it matters where you end up...dont let circumstances become your downfall, but let it become your stepping stone. The road might not me easy, but its worth it...your TESTS..are future testimonies . So strive to be the best you,you can be. My favorite verse in the bible is 2nd Corinthinans 12:9 "I can do ALL things through Christ who Strenghens me". Dont be afraid of being different but embrace the God-given uniqueness you have and push to raise the standards of this world..The WORLD AWAITS BUT IT UP TO YOU TO ANSWER THE CALL......THE QUESTION REMAINS WILL YOU?

YOU HAVE A PURPOSE

There is no individual on this earth who doesn't have a purpose. God has created everyone that resides on this earth with a destiny. Sometimes in life we may feel as though we are insignificant and unworthy of a destiny. Certain cricumstances, and sitiautions can cause to feel as though our life is less meaningful comapred to others. But today I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT Your MEANINGFUL!! No matter what circumstances you have you also have the choice to break down those barriers. I dont know what times you might be going through but I do know that trials and tribulations are their to build and shape you for the road ahead. If you werent worthy of a calling, you wouldnt be living or breathing today as I speak. Their is more that life has to offer you. The organization i'm apart of "Raise the Bar Young Savvy" had a powercall yesterday with guest speak Terri Vaughn (Lavita from "The Steve Harvey Show"). She gave her testimony about the difficulties she had getting to where she is now. She was raised in the ghetto,but she didnt let her present circumstances at the time discourage her dream. Neither should you, no matter what you may go through always remember that your full of purposee and destiny,you are a walk talking marketable machine. You can make it!!!!!! You KEEP MOVING AND KEEP STRIVING TO FUFILL THE ULTIMATE PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE AND THATS YOUR DESTINY~!!!! NEVERY GIVE IN AND NEVER GIVE UP!!! May God give you strength and wisdom for the road ahead.
